Lichtstad Koplamp Restauratie (hereinafter "LKR") specialises in the professional, mobile restoration of dull, yellowed, or oxidised headlights. Our services are carried out entirely at the customer's location, by appointment.

03 // Quotes, Pricing and Payment

  • We work exclusively with custom quotes. The final price is determined in advance based on the photos submitted by the customer and/or a visual assessment carried out on-site.
  • Call-out fee (calculated from Eindhoven):
    0 to 10 km: Free From 10 km: €7.50 for every 10 km of distance (calculated based on the total one-way distance, with consecutive kilometres rounded up per 10 km block).
  • Payment must be made immediately after the work is completed, via mobile card payment. Cash payment is not possible. Business customers may, only after prior approval, pay by invoice with a payment term of 14 days.

04 // Warranty and Conformity

LKR stands for durability and craftsmanship. The following warranty terms apply to the restoration work carried out:

  • Warranty period: LKR offers a 2-year warranty against the premature dulling or yellowing of the headlights (the applied protective layer).
  • The baseline measurement (burden of proof): The before and after photos taken by LKR on-site immediately after completion serve as the binding reference point for the guaranteed clarity. Marginal, normal deterioration due to weather conditions that does not disrupt the light pattern or safety falls outside the warranty.
  • Objective standard: Premature dullness or yellowing under this warranty only applies if the transparency of the headlight degenerates within 24 months of completion to such an extent that it leads to an objective reduction in light output or a disrupted light pattern (risk of failing the roadworthiness inspection).
  • Exclusions: The warranty is immediately void or does not apply if the dullness, yellowing, or damage was caused by external factors, including but not limited to:
    • - Mechanical damage caused by external factors (such as a collision, impact damage, stone chips, or deep scratches).
    • - Incorrect or improper use of high-pressure cleaners (such as aiming a degreaser nozzle or industrial high-pressure sprayer directly at the coating from extremely short distance). Normal use of a wash bay or regular car wash is, of course, not covered by this exclusion.
    • - Machine polishing, wet-sanding, or treating the headlights with abrasive compounds (polishing agents) by third parties or the customer themselves, as this breaks down the applied UV-protective layer. Regular manual polishing or the application of a soft, non-abrasive car wax/sealant is permitted.
    • - Residual damage or reactions originating from old, pre-existing 2K coatings or earlier (unprofessional) repair attempts by third parties that could not, for technical reasons, be fully removed without damaging the headlight housing.

05 // Cancelling or Changing Appointments

  • An appointment can be cancelled or changed free of charge up to at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time, to avoid unnecessary travel time.
  • If an appointment is cancelled or changed within 24 hours of the scheduled time, or if the specialist arrives at the agreed location and the work cannot be carried out due to circumstances attributable to the customer, LKR reserves the right to charge for the reserved time and any call-out fee incurred.
  • Payment in case of cancellation: If the customer is not present at the location, a payment request (Tikkie) will be sent first. If this payment is not received within 48 hours, an official cancellation invoice will be sent by email with a statutory payment term of 14 days. After this term has expired, LKR is entitled to transfer the claim to a debt collection agency, with the statutory collection costs and interest to be borne by the customer.

06 // Liability and Visual Material

LKR is not liable for pre-existing damage, electronic malfunctions, or damage caused by improper installation of the headlights. Only the exterior surface of the headlight is treated for the purpose of restoration.

Prior to treatment, LKR records the condition of the headlights and surrounding parts with photos and/or videos. By making an appointment, the customer agrees to this.

LKR always asks for permission before using visual material on the website, in the portfolio, or on social media. In case of objection, it is stored internally only, for reference purposes related to the baseline measurement.
